The hood canal is a great place to go crabbing.  You can check out the open season on Washington State's Fish and Wildlife site. Right now, crabbing is open in front of our house, tritoncovebeachhome.com, until Jan. 2nd, 2010.  We've had really good luck catching both Dungeness and Rock crab.  Both are great eating.
